May 11, 2005 MEDIA ADVISORY-PHOTO OP AMERICAN FLIGHT ATTENDANTS RALLY ON THE HILL Congressman Michael M. Honda (CA-15) to Address Union Members Washington, D,C., (May 11, 2005)-By popular demand, the flight attendants of American Airlines who will fly in to the nation's capitol to lobby their legislators for relief on issues impacting their work group, will culminate the day's efforts by gathering on the Cannon Terrace en masse to hear remarks from APFA Union leaders and esteemed Congressman Michael M. Honda (CA-15), member of the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Aviation. Issues surrounding fatigue, pensions and the high cost of fuel topped the list for members of the nation's largest independent Flight Attendant union, representing only American Airlines Flight Attendants. "We are pleased that so many of our members took the time out of their busy lives to volunteer for this worthy effort and are honored to have Congressman Michael M. Honda join us at our rally for a few remarks to our flight attendants," said APFA President, Tommie L. Hutto-Blake. Congressman Honda sponsored a letter in support of allocation of funds to further a Flight Attendant study on fatigue.
