Hello. This is Liz Geiss, DFW InfoRep Captain, with a special hotline update for Monday, October 27th, 2003.

It has been confirmed by, law enforcement reports, that card style hotel keys have been linked to identity theft. Therefore, effective immediately the APFA suggests that crewmembers checking out of their layover hotel should not return the "card style" room key to the front desk. Instead it should be taken home and destroyed.

All Flight Attendants should continue to monitor the SSI website for security and safety information, which is only accessible through the Flight Service Web site at www.aaflightservice.com. Flight Attendants are urged to remain vigilant at all times whether on the airplane, in the terminal, or on a layover. Follow all safety and security rules and regulations. Report any suspicious behavior or any security violations to the Captain, the agent, or you're nearest law enforcement agency.

The Safety Department would like to remind all Flight Attendants that you must obtained your TSA-mandated ID badge, prior to November 15th, 2003. If you fail to meet this deadline, per the TSA, you will not be permitted to fly.
