11.10.23 – PBS Holiday Bidding Tips

Bidding for holiday months may require a different bidding strategy than what you use during the rest of the year. First and foremost, it’s important to be aware of your relative seniority at your base.

An update to iOS 17.1 for Flight Attendant EFBs will be effective on November 2nd, 2023. Prior to your next sequence, please ensure you have installed the most recent versions of iOS and Comply365.

10.09.23 – Holiday Pay

Last year, your APFA National and Base Leadership secured a Letter of Agreement (LOA) that included permanent contractual improvements to the holiday pay provisions in our JCBA. Just like last year, 2023 Holiday Pay will be paid to all Flight Attendants, both Lineholder and Reserves, working on a designated holiday, regardless of how you obtained the trip.

A weather event in the DFW area this evening has prompted American Airlines to pre-cancel flights. Please visit the ‘On the Job’ section of the APFA website for examples and information on rescheduling, calculating legalities, Reserve, and more.

Last week, a mobileCCI message was sent to all Flight Attendants regarding a required update to Comply365 version 8.2 on the EFB, with an effective date of October 4, 2023.

9.29.23 – Language Drop Proffer Closes Tomorrow, 9/30

In accordance with JCBA 15.L.1, eligible Flight Attendants who are qualified in one or more foreign language may proffer to drop their language qualification(s). The current proffer closes at 2359 CT on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
