1.21.04 – (LAA) – Online EPT Training, AMR Announced 4th Quarter Financial Results

American has notified the APFA Safety Department that on-line EPT training will be go off-line today, Wednesday, January 21, 2004 between the hours of 1730 and 1900 Central Time. Any unfinished on-line training must be completed prior to 1730 Central Time or started after 1900 on January 21st. The American Airlines Training Support Desk is attempting to contact all Flight Attendants scheduled for class on Thursday, January 22nd, Friday, January 23rd, and Saturday, January 24th in order to inform them of this situation.
In other news, AMR announced fourth quarter financial results today. The Company posted a net loss of $111 million, which compares to a net loss of $529 million for the same quarter a year ago. For the year, AMR posted a net loss of $1.2 billion. The Company posted a $3.5 billion loss for the entire year of 2002.
