DID YOU KNOW?
It wasn’t until the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) of 1968 that any language concerning lodging accommodations entered the contract. Appendix Q stated that…”the Company will consult with the Association prior to making changes in the principle location of Stewardess lodging at layover points”. In the 1974 CBA single rooms were granted to International Flight Attendants and those Flight Attendants flying in the MAC Operation. Domestic Flight Attendants weren’t provided single hotel lodging accommodations until 1976. There was no provision for a hotel committee until the 1995 CBA; Article 30-General. Hotels and Transportation became its own article with ratification of the 2001 CBA.
