STRIKE AUTHORIZATION
Strike Authorization information will soon be mailed to your address on file with APFA. This will be an electronic/telephonic ballot for our membership. The APFA Membership has spoken in favor of electronic balloting through the Constitutional Referendum that was passed in January 2010. Detailed instructions on electronic voting, as well as voting by telephone, will also be mailed to you. There will soon be a questions and answers page posted on the APFA website at .
A YES vote on the strike authorization ballot will give your APFA Negotiating Team the much needed ammunition to force management to get serious at the bargaining table. History shows that AA management will push us to the brink of a strike every time we negotiate a contract. The "Power of YES" is the most powerful tool we have in our arsenal.
Attached to this message are "Vote Yes" bag tag inserts for you to print and distribute. Remember, a yes vote will send a strong message to AA management that FA’s are unified and, should management force us to do so, we will do what is necessary to protect our profession.

SIGN UP FOR TEXT MESSAGING
Adding to our long list of avenues for providing information to the Membership, we are rolling out APFA Text Messaging. To join, text the letters APFA to 313131. Make sure to attend a Road Show to hear how this popular communication tool will be used.
NATIONAL MEDIATION BOARD UPDATE
As reported earlier this week, the National Mediation Board (NMB) contacted APFA President Laura Glading to direct the parties back to the table. No date has been determined as of this hotline. Although we have been called back to the table, our request for release is still being considered. We will advise you when a firm meeting date has been scheduled.
TWU PICKETS
On 15APR10, APFA Members stood in solidarity with our brothers and sisters at TWU Local 513; representing Fleet Service and Ground Service Workers, while conducting informational picketing today at DFW Airport. The picketing topic was executive bonuses. Thank you to all who came out for this show of solidarity. After all, we are all in this together. Voting no means saying yes to more concessions.
