Spreading like a contagion
Vince Lombardi once said ìConfidence is contagious; so is lack of confidenceî.
Between now and March 31st there will be a survey posted on APFA’s website gauging the breadth and depth of our memberships confidence in AA management. Please take a few moments to take the survey.

Wisconsin: the land of cheese, beer and no unions?
In the wee morning hours today the Republican lead Wisconsin Assembly voted to strip collective bargaining rights from most public workers.
Provisions of the bill include increased worker contributions to pensions and healthcare insurance, pay cuts, an annual vote for the union to remain in place and no requirement to pay union dues.
In a further effort to strong arm the demise of unions, the Wisconsin Senate Republican Majority Leader, Scott Fitzgerald sent State Troopers to Wisconsin Senate Democrats home to return them like wayward children to the Senate floor so that a vote could be taken in that house. Sadly for Fitzgerald not a single Democrat Senator was at home thus delaying the vote. The bill must pass in both the Assembly and the Senate before it can be sent to Governor Scott Walker to be signed into law.
I for one have a spare bedroom should any Wisconsin lawmaker need a place to bed down while on the lam fighting to preserve union rights!
Tru-Mour
A recent rumor is that JetBlue is buying American.
In truth we probably wouldnít know until it hit the media as ìtrade secretsî such as this are generally held close to the vest. However, it simply doesnít appear that JetBlue has enough money to purchase AA and itís debt to make this a realistic rumor.
Finally, there has been a rumor that certain factions of our membership will cross the picket line should we strike.
The truth of the matter is that we can never predict who will or will not cross the picket line. Our only truth as a union and union members is that we are stronger as one than we are as individuals and as such we all must stand up to protect our profession and our livelihoods!
