New AA Uniform Designers Selected – January 25, 2013
AA Management announced today that KAUFMANFRANCO will design new uniforms for the Company’s flight attendants, pilots, and gate agents. Ken Kaufman and Isaac Franco are well-known and highly respected fashion designers.
“This is very exciting news,” said Laura Glading, APFA President. “We’ve been in the same uniforms for a long, long time and having met with the design team, I am convinced that they will bring us up to date with a stunning and practical look. We’re looking forward to a new uniform, a new culture, and a new American Airlines.”
The KAUFMANFRANCO design team is committed to understanding flight attendants and their daily routines completely before they begin designing. “We are anxious to meet with as many flight attendants as we can and really listen to their needs and wants,” said Ken Kaufman. “With such an amazing team of so many thousands, we look forward to creating an iconic, modern and timeless look for the Flight Attendants of American Airlines.”
