APFA Website Update
As we continue to update our Website and add our newest members into the system, we are also focused on improving the speed and efficiency of membership interaction. With that, we have completed programming to automate the sign in process. With automation comes the need for a valid email address for each user. Since some members do not have an email on file in the website database, those accounts were purged and a new account must be created. All APFA members will have access to the website. Creating a new account is quick and simple.
If you’re an APFA member / pre-merger AA Flight Attendant, and don’t yet have access to APFA’s website, or are experiencing difficulty logging in, go to www.www.apfa.org and click on “Create An Account” under the Log In Form from the main page. Once you fill out the form, a verification email will be sent to you. Click on the specified link within the email, and, provided you are a pre-merger AA Flight Attendant and APFA member, you will gain immediate access to the members-only portion of APFA.org. Get to know it!
Joint Negotiations Survey
The Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC) continues to meet in Dallas/Ft. Worth weekly in preparation for contract openers with the Company. The Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (JCBA) openers are scheduled to take place on April 24, 2014. We encourage you to stay up to date with all APFA Hotlines as well as the negotiations page and other information available at APFA.org. Equity Claim 120-Day Distribution
The final distribution of Equity to eligible pre-merger AA Flight Attendants will be allocated next week. More information will be made available on Monday, April 7th.
Vacation Trade Bulletin Board at APFA.org

Frontier Reciprocal Agreement
Beginning April 1, the reciprocal cabin seat agreement with Frontier has been updated. Flight Attendants should now create a new listing by visiting https://ifc.id90.com. For details on listing for a flight, sign in to www.apfa.org then visit the Reciprocal Agreements’ link at the bottom of the page.
Combined Domestic and International Reserve List Update
Computer programming continues on the combining of Reserve lists for adjacent bases. The programmers previously spent a great deal of their time on the pilots’ new FAR Regulations. Now that their project is nearly finished, AA’s I.T. will be able to turn their focus to this issue. A determination has been made that the system will recognize all FAs as DOM with an INTL qualification in our *9 once we are combined. What that means is that the programmers will need to evaluate all of the actions that create a problem or ‘alert’ when assigning INTL trips and test various fixes. Once that process is completed, we should have a realistic timeline for implementation.
For domestic FAs interested in utilizing their INTL qualification or INTL FAs interested in a DOM sequence, make sure and check to see if Adjacent Base flying is open. The entry is RF 8803A CCS in FOS. Follow the procedures outlined here to pick up AB flying.
Workers’ Comp Doctor Search Tool
The American Airlines’ Workers Compensation administrator, Sedgwick CMS, is now using a new provider search tool designed to assist injured employees in locating a Workers’ Compensation doctor. The Preferred Provider Network for Workers Compensation doctors can be accessed via www.Sedgwickproviders.com/AAL. The link is case sensitive, so be sure to use caps where necessary. Members who do not have access to a computer may call the following numbers for assistance:

2010-2013 Corrected W-2’s For Employees of Same Sex Marriages
APFA has been notified that American Airlines is currently preparing corrected W-2s for employees who were in Federally recognized same sex marriages for the 2010 – 2013 tax years. The 2010 W-2s were processed first and should have been completed by 3/28/14. In most cases, April 15, 2014 is the deadline for amending 2010 tax returns. According to AA HR, the W-2s for the years 2011 through 2013 will be completed in the next few weeks. If you are awaiting your corrected 2013 W-2 to file your taxes, remember, you can get an automatic extension of your filing deadline by filing form 4868. Employees will receive the new W-2s via the method that they elected to receive their W-2s.

KCM at LGB and MKE
The Known Crewmember Program continues to expand with access to KCM portals at MKE and LGB. Milwaukee opened on March 31st in Terminals C, D and E from 0400-2100. Long Beach opens April 6th at the main terminal checkpoint and will operate between 0530 and 2200. Click here for a complete list of airports that offer or are preparing to offer KCM.
Letter to DOT Secretary Foxx Re: Norwegian Airlines
APFA President Laura Glading sent a letter to DOT Secretary Anthony Foxx, voicing APFA’s opposition to Norwegian Airlines’ proposed application to fly to US cities. The proposal is intended to bypass the Open Skies agreement between the United States and the European Union.
The airline proposes to fly under an operating certificate issued in Ireland, using Thailand-based pilots supplied by a company in Singapore. If permitted, it will circumvent both labor laws and work rules. To read Laura’s letter, click here.
Human Trafficking Awareness Training – Oakland Airport
Airline Ambassadors International and Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition will be conducting training on how to identify the warning signals of and handle a suspected human trafficking situation. This training coordinates with the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security Blue Campaign and is supported by the U.S. Dept. of State and the DOT.

Cell Phones In The Cabin: Call to Action!
HR 3676 prohibits the use of mobile devices for voice communications during the in-flight portion of any scheduled domestic commercial flight, exempting any on-duty members of the flight crew and Flight Attendants, or federal law enforcement personnel acting in an official capacity. There’s still time to contact your Congressperson today and ask them to support this important piece of legislation.

Otherwise, the photos are unusable.
