FACT: APFA and AFA continue discussions on the implementation of an interim reciprocal jumpseat agreement that will allow AA Flight Attendants to utilize the jumpseat on US Airways flights and vice versa. We are on track to have this agreement in place no later than June 30th and it appears we may even be able to implement before the end of the month. As soon as we have the final details and the exact implementation date we will share with our members via the Hotline.

FACT:  AA has discontinued all flights to Venezuela from JFK, DFW and SJU and reduced flights from MIA effective July 2, 2014 due to a substantial debt the country owes AA. MIA to CCS will be reduced to one daily flight with 2 on Saturdays and MIA to MAR will be reduced to twice a week. If this matter is resolved soon and flying resumes, sequences will be placed into open time.

FACT or Fiction:
Q: There is a rumor circulating that JFK and LGA will be combined in the next 2-3 months and will be the first base to do so.
A: Fiction.  There will not be a combining of the International and Domestic divisions until at least 2Q 2015.
