LAA / LUS
Q: Is there a plan to have contract/scheduling training at the bases?
A: A program is being developed by APFA to conduct Contract/Scheduling training at each base and we hope to start these sessions at the end of April, 2015. The On Duty Contract Guide (ODCG) is one of the training tools, which is new to LUS Flight Attendants. LAA will have a new ODCG also, containing updated JCBA items that will be implemented prior to PBS. Currently, the LUS & LAA ODCGs are in the company’s possession and APFA is waiting approval. The classes could be delayed if the ODCG’s take longer to be approved than expected.

LAA FACT:
Beginning May 2, 2015, all sequences coded Makeup (MU), Optional Exchange (OE), Option II (II), Optional Reserve (OR), Limited Option II (L2) and Critical Coverage (CC) for which a Flight Attendant calls in sick will now be paid, provided s/he has sick time available.

Also, effective May 2, 2015, the LAA Sick Cap of 80 hours max for Domestic Flight Attendants and 85 hours max for International and Reserve Flight Attendants will be eliminated. All sequences will be paid at 100% when calling in sick, regardless of how many hours are on the Flight Attendant’s schedule, provided s/he has sick time available. – Section 9.A

Q: How can I tell on our HI1 what we are actually getting paid?
A: Starting in March 2015, GUAR ORIG shows your original bid line guarantee, and ADJ shows the adjusted guarantee.  You will be paid the higher of PPROJ (Pay Projection) or ADJ.

LAA
Q: I followed MIC procedures after my flight canceled and went on MU to protect my pay, but then the MU trip I got was also canceled. What are my obligations?

A: If this is during Last 5 Days (L5D) of the month then you have no further obligations. If not L5D then you are obligated for the Days Originally Scheduled to Fly (DOSTF) for the original trip.

LAA
Q: What is the maximum number of vacation days I can accrue in 2015 for use in 2016?

A: The vacation year runs from May 2015 to April 2016. For January to April 2015 the accrual is at the old rate, then May to December 2015 it is accrued at the JCBA rate. With 26 or more years of service the maximum vacation accrual for 2015 is 33 days.
