January 2016 is the final month for Overwater Training. All active Flight Attendants who have not yet attended Overwater Training should submit a ballot if you desire to have a preference in your training date. If you do not submit a ballot, you will be assigned a training date after processing the ballots of all Flight Attendants that submitted a ballot. The deadline to submit a ballot is Friday, December 11 at 10:00am CT. The ballot is located under the Featured Links section of the Crew Resources page of the Flight Service website. Training dates should be added to the HI10 on Monday, December 14.

Personal Leave of Absence – LAA/LUS
Effective January 1, 2016, Educational and Personal Leaves of Absence will be open for submission.

A Personal Leave of Absence, formerly known as Granted Leave for LAA Flight Attendants, is an unpaid leave which allows a Flight Attendant to take time off of work under unusual circumstances or when another leave type would not apply.

The completed form should be faxed or scanned to HDQ (LAA) or PHX (LUS) Flight Service Administration for consideration;
Please see Section 25.D. of the JCBA for more information regarding Educational Leaves, and Section 25.A. of the JCBA for more information regarding Personal Leaves.
