Pittsburgh Satellite Flying
The PHL Base Leadership and the APFA Scheduling Department are pleased to announce that for the month of March 2016, PIT will have nearly 300 block hours of Satellite Flying. The preliminary pairing construction that we have been given appears as though there is a mix of 2, 3 and 4 day trips, with the most being 3 days.
We will be hosting a meeting on February 3rd at the airport in Pittsburgh. This meeting is to provide information and discuss the responsibilities and expectations of flying from a satellite as well as the commitment necessary to maintain a satellite base. There will be a lot of communication coming out about how to bid, how to report, and what your responsibilities are if you cannot fly a trip you are awarded.
While we have worked very hard to start up this satellite base, its success rests solely on the flight attendants that fly the pairings. We have the ability to make it or break it; I think we can make it! The dedication of our work group is like no other. Please try to attend this very important meeting.
