PHL Flight Attendants,
If you opted to participate in the annual vacation buyback for your 2015 vacation accrual, as per the contract Section 8.F. it will be paid out in the subsequent year no later than the last pay period in February (February 26, 2016).
2016/2017 Vacation Matrix
On September 8th, your LUS Base Leadership met in DFW with the Company to review the January 2016 – April 2017 vacation matrix. I am pleased to report the Company took the suggestions brought forward and reduced the number of days available in February and increased the number of available days in May, September and October.
2016 Benefits Enrollment*
2016 Annual Benefits Enrollment for Flight Attendants will take place online from October 12-23, 2015. The enrollment brochures with the pricing will be mailed out next week and will be available online on Jetnet Wednesday, September 16th. Please take an opportunity to review the information, so that we can answer any questions you may have before enrollment opens.
*Philadelphia will host a Benefits Roadshow on Tuesday, September 22nd from 9am-4pm in the B6 Conference Room.
Fall Board of Director’s Meeting
The APFA Board of Director’s meeting will be held October 5 & 6 in Dallas/Fort Worth.
Tel Aviv Suspension
As you know, Tel Aviv flying will be discontinued effective January 5, 2016. Your local leadership has been pressing the Company for information regarding the replacement of the flying time in the Philadelphia base. Chip Mayer, Director of Crew Systems, has scheduled a meeting with Network Planning to find out more information regarding the plan for the two A-330’s currently used for TLV service.
As soon as we have more information, we will pass it along.
WBT Modules Pay Error
LUS Flight Attendants who completed Value of Respect (VOR) & Payment Card Industry Standards (PCI) Web Based Training (WBT) during the months of July and August were not paid as a result of a delayed data transmission. These missed training events will be paid to the affected Flight Attendants on their September 30th paycheck. The Company is reaching out to all affected Flight Attendants.
Please make sure you have completed these two online training courses by September 30, 2015.
