Today your leadership was informed of the change to the Valet Parking via the following email:
On Tuesday, July 12, the three hourly customer lots (P4, P5, P6) reached full occupancy early in the morning shifting all subsequent customers to Lot 10. The mix of meeter-greeters who require quick entry and exit for parking, flight crews who arrive to the lot often in large groups at the same time, combined with the onset of large numbers of long-term customer parkers challenged our new valet operation.
A quick assessment identified the return of flight crews to self-parking mode would mitigate the challenges and also address the continuing dissatisfaction expressed by flight crews about participating in a valet operation. I am very grateful for the cooperation and patience exhibited by the employees using the lot over the last two weeks. It was a tough but necessary decision to return flight crews to self-parking. This change further reduces customer supply by a few hundred spaces but will ensure the experience for the customers we do accommodate is of a high quality. Please share this change in policy with the airline corporate representatives.
We will continue to update you.
