Vacation Bidding
Vacation bidding opened on February 7th and will close on March 7th. We are using the new vacation bidding program known as AVBA, accessible via the Crew Portal. There are trainers in the crew room to assist you with your vacation bidding.
Meeting with Flight Service Managers
We continue to see more and more Flight Attendants declining Union Representation when being called in for a meeting with their Flight Service Manager (FSM). We are seeing a huge uptick in attendance discipline as well as passenger complaint letters. We are here to represent you. If you are called in for a meeting for any reason with your FSM, please call the PHL base office for representation.
Social Media
We live in world where social media is the new norm of communication. Social media can be a great venue to reconnect with old friends and make new friends, if used responsibly. Please think before you make comments on threads, starts threads, or post photos. Remember: Once it’s out there, you can’t take it back.
Cabin Odor Events
If you are involved in an air quality cabin odor event, your health comes first. Please notify the Company immediately, and seek medical attention if necessary. You will also need to notify APFA Safety, and file an AMR Safety Report so that all the appropriate departments are notified of the event. You can also call the Flight Service Daily Operations desk at IOC immediately to report the event and be provided assistance. Daily Operations can be reached at 888-222-4737.
APFA Annual Convention & BOD Meeting
The APFA Board of Directors Annual Convention and Awards Banquet will be held March 6-9, 2017 at the Embassy Suites Downtown St. Louis, 0900-1700. Members in good standing are welcome to attend all open portions of the meeting.
