4.01.17 – Message from LGA Base President and Vice President Elect

Today, we begin our two year term as Base President and Vice President.  We are honored to serve such a great base like LGA. There is a lot of work to do and we are putting together a team of Flight Attendants that truly want to volunteer and serve our fellow crew members.

It takes teamwork and cooperation to get the job done, and we invite all to participate. Remember, we are a base of 2700+, and there are two of us. We are privileged to retain Joann Matley Sheehan, as she will continue to assist our base. We also have the assistance of Robert Norvell who will be working on Allocations, and Sonja Hollen who will replace Leslie Dupilka as Professional Standards Rep. 

We are fortunate to have Carol Glenn continuing her role as Professional Standards Rep and Joe Trudell assisting with Contract and Scheduling. We look forward to all Reps assisting in other areas as well. 

We have BCR’s that have shown interest in helping and we are reaching out to them. We are grateful for the help and commitment that everyone brings to the table in order to continue the work here at LGA.

Leslie and I will be in DFW for training April 3-6 and April 17-20. 

During  the first week, Ellen Eherts and Joann Matley-Sheehan will be covering the base. Joann and Robert will be covering April 17 – 21.

Let’s unite together and continue working to make our base the best in the system.

Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt thank you to both Ellen and Joann. They have both served our base with the highest integrity. Thank you both for all you have done for LGA. Ellen, you are a trailblazer. May your next trail be smooth, happy and beautiful.
