APFA remains fervently opposed to the US Department of Transportation’s decision to grant Norwegian Air International (NAI) a foreign carrier permit, essentially giving NAI permission to fly overseas routes to and from the United States while evading fair labor laws.
Our many supporters in Congress have been integral to this effort against NAI. APFA thanks Congressman Peter DeFazio for his continued support for Flight Attendants. Rep. DeFazio has introduced HR 2150 which would outlaw the “flag of convenience” business model that carriers like NAI and others are trying to establish in our industry.
Now we need your help in pressuring other members of Congress to support this bill. Please send a letter to your member of Congress today.
