Vacation Buy Back and the 401(k) – LUS
LUS Flight Attendants who elected the contractual provision to have American buy back all or part of their vacation will receive the payments as part of their June 15th paychecks. These payments will be eligible for a 3% company contribution and a company match of up to 2.5% into the 401(k).
Because this is part of the regular paycheck, it is not considered a special election. Whatever regular election and “Catch Up” election Flight Attendants have on file as of June 9th at 4pm ET will be deducted from the June 15th paycheck as part of the employee contribution to the 401(k). These employee contributions will apply to the annual maximum contribution for 2017 ($18,000 plus $6,000 Catch Up contributions for members over 50.)
Contributions can be viewed/updated via the Fidelity website (http://netbenefits.com/aa) or by calling the American Airlines 401k Service Center at Fidelity at 800-354-3412.
Questions regarding your 401(k) can also be directed to the American Airlines 401(k) group at [email protected].
