6.30.17 – Special BOD Meeing, PHL Employee Parking, New Phone System

SPECIAL BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING

On June 24th and 25th, the APFA Board of Directors (BOD) met for a special meeting in Dallas-Fort Worth. The meeting was called to discuss the decision made by the Executive Committee (EC) to send out the Minimum Annual Threshold (Hard 40) and the Timeline Implementation (Vacation & Sick) Letters of Agreement for ratification. The Board debated and deliberated for the first full day and unanimously voted to overturn the EC’s decision per the following resolution:

Other items that were placed on the agenda for discussion were:

• Trip Construction
• Uniform Update
• PBS Specialist
• FOI Definition
• JSIC
• Special Assignment Flight Attendants

The next scheduled Board of Directors meeting will be the Fall Board Meeting held in Dallas-Fort Worth, October 11 & 12.

NEW PHONE SYSTEM

The new phone system prompts apparently are better for the crew schedulers, obviously not so good for the Flight Attendants. The Company has provided a cheat sheet card for both phone numbers. You can pick them up at the Crew Service Centers. This information is also on the tablet.

PHILADELPHIA EMPLOYEE PARKING

Philadelphia Employee parking is now going to require a hang tag for your vehicle for parking. If you park in the Philadelphia employee lot you will be required to fill out a parking application and pick up a hang tag.
  
Applications will be available at the Crew Service Center or at the Airport Communications Center beginning Monday, June 26, 2017.   Employees must take the completed application along with their parking pass badge to pick up the hang tag for your vehicle. The location to pick up the hang tags will be the Tour Room located inside security at the Philadelphia Airport between Concourses C & D. The Crew Service Center will be able to provide you with the dates and times.
