WINGS FOUNDATION LIP SYNC EVENT
Philadelphia’s first annual WINGS Foundation Lip Sync Review was a huge success, and a fun-filled night for all that attended. Philadelphia Flight Attendants raised nearly $13,000 for this incredible organization that helps our Flight Attendants in financial need.
A great big shout out to Sarah Bly and Rich Henderson, Philadelphia co-chairs, and to all the other Flight Attendants who volunteered their time to make this event so successful. We would also like to thank all the performers who joined us from bases across the system.
Please visit the WINGS Foundation website to learn more. We hope to see you next year!
PAY CLAIMS
Are you as frustrated as we are with this department? When we switched to Direct Connect, the turn around time definitely got better, but that didn’t last long. We are seeing turn around times of up to two weeks for some claims. We continue to address this with the Company, and yet we still do not see any improvements. We will continue to express our disappointment to the Company.
SYSTEMS CREW SCHEDULING
It’s pretty clear: bigger isn’t always better.
Please continue to document the dates and times you speak to scheduling, as well as with whom you speak in the department. Please continue to take snapshots of your hold times. If you believe you have been rescheduled illegally, please let us know.
We recommend you reference the contract language on rescheduling in LUS Redbook Section 10 J, as well as the Duty Day Limitations Chart:
Use this chart to determine your maximum duty day, based on check-in and amount of legs. Both the Redbook Scheduling language and the Duty Day Chart can also be found on your tablet.
