FLY SAFELY
With the unstable weather that usually pops up in the summer months, we are seeing more and more Flight Attendants sustaining turbulence related injuries. This past weekend was one of the worst we have experienced in quite a while. We have all heard that Flight 759, Athens to Philadelphia, hit severe turbulence Saturday on the long approach into Philadelphia, injuring seven of the nine crew members as well as several passengers.
The crew did an amazing job continuing to secure the cabin and tending to the needs of those passengers who were injured and frightened. We are safety professionals, and this crew proved that once again by handling the incident with the utmost professionalism, all while dealing with their own personal injuries.
We wish them all a speedy recovery, and a quick return to the line.
