Today, we take a moment to reflect on those we lost that fateful morning in September when time stood still and the world changed forever.
No matter how many years pass, the memories of 9/11 are still etched in the consciousness of those who witnessed the horror of the worst act of terrorism ever committed on American soil.
Despite the tragedy, stories of heroism and perseverance abound to lessen the sting. Flight crews the world over shared stories of people coming together to help victims and their families recover—many crew members returning to work as soon as airports re-opened to get stranded passengers home to their loved ones.
