2.13.18 – (LAA/LUS) – Reserve Numbers

APFA Special Hotline

Why Are Reserve Numbers so High?!

APFA has been fielding this question from members and we, too have been demanding answers from the Company. At this point, the numbers should be trending down. We have identified possible issues with the reserve numbers for March and have requested a review by Crew Planning. The seniority numbers of those on reserve have been pulled while the Company investigates.

Paul and I, together with the Joint Scheduling Committee (JSC) and National Officers, have requested a meeting with Crew Planning this Thursday. We will be discussing the reason behind the inflated reserve numbers. We have requested various reports including the effects of mandatory training, sick calls, other unplanned leaves, special assignments, and reserve rotation.

We will update you with our findings.
