10.23.18 – Breaking News – Official Statement from APFA President
Fellow APFA Members,
Following a news article by the Chicago Business Journal today reporting a possible union merger with APFA and AFA, I received a call from AFA President Nelson. We were both taken by surprise with the news article. After speaking with Reporter Lazare, the story was updated.
While it is no secret that other Unions would like to court APFA, there are no merger talks of any kind occurring now or on our radar for the future.
Even though merger talks are not occurring with any other Union, I have had the opportunity to discuss the possibility of rebuilding the Coalition of All Flight Attendant Unions with the other Union Presidents. We all agree it’s in our collective interest to fight together on issues of importance to our profession, especially on the legislative front.
Again, to address any rumors or reports to the contrary, there are no merger talks occurring between APFA and any other union.
