Hello Miami! This is a Base Blast for November. In this edition, we will address the picketing event scheduled for November 18th, the 25th anniversary of our historic strike.
Picketing Times and Location
Sunday, November 18, Miami Airport Terminal D, Door #3, First Bus Stop.
11AM-1PM
Whether you are new to American or you have been here awhile, this event is very important. Numbers count! We showed this Company the meaning of solidarity 25 years ago. Let’s show them we are willing to do it again.
Time gets away, but we are already starting negotiations again for a new contract! A contract doesn’t happen overnight, and won’t happen without unity. In order to achieve an industry leading contract, we must be a cohesive group.
The Company watches our events closely. It is very important that we have a large turnout. Picketing is legal and you cannot be disciplined for participating as a Union member, although you should not be on the sick list if you plan to attend.
Every base is participating.
Commemorative t-shirts will be provided for the event!
APFA is picketing against Contract Violations, Inhumane Schedules, Sick Policy, and a Toxic Workplace. Please join your co-workers on the line!
APFA Hotline and Website
If you do not already receive the APFA Hotline, subscribe today! It contains valuable and timely information. Visit www.www.apfa.org and click on the graphic on the right side of the main APFA webpage that reads SUBSCRIBE TO THE HOTLINE!
If you know anyone who isn’t getting the Base Briefs from us and would like to stay informed from/about Miami, please have them send us an email with their name and email address and we will get them added to the list!
Until next time, fly safely!
