Transportation & Infrastructure
The 116th session of Congress will convene on January 3rd, 2019. That day, APFA Government Affairs will walk the halls of Congress, checking in with new members and old friends who open their office doors to industry stakeholders and advocates. This coming year, the House Transportation & Infrastructure committee will have a critical role in providing oversight on the DOT/FAA. There are many provisions that affect Flight Attendants still to be implemented from the FAA Reauthorization Bill. APFA is working with T&I Chairman Peter DeFazio (OR-4) to provide the needed oversight and pepper the DOT/FAA with inquiries to ensure an expeditious timeline. It is going to be an exciting year for our profession and we look forward to APFA members joining on the Hill in 2019.
– Allie Malis, APFA National Government Affairs Representative, firstname.lastname@example.org
