DECS/FOS/MOBILE CCI TRAINING
We would like to thank APFA Contract and Scheduling Chairs Erik Harris and Becky Lydecker as well as APFA Desk Representative Hunter Meredith for providing this recent training in Philadelphia. Thank you to all who took the time to come out and educate yourselves on our new way of life. Knowledge is power.
If you were not able to attend, we are going to try to set up a JCBA training in March which will also incorporate a segment on DECS/FOS/Mobile CCI.
SYSTEMS ISSUES
If you believe you have experienced a TTS/UBL/ETB/ROTA or ROTA-D system failure or system mis-award, immediately report the issue to the FABRC. We encourage you to visit the APFA website and fill out the Systems Issues Reporting Form as well. We have a dedicated team at APFA that researches each of these forms and handles them accordingly.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
We are not surprised by the amount of people who have been placed on Level One since October 1st. Several have moved to Level Two already. The company is auto-issuing this discipline without a meeting, and without the ability to have representation. The letter does state you have ten days to contact your FSM if you wish to dispute your accrued points, and you are entitled to Union representation. To me, this is the most disrespectful and disheartening procedure about this entire policy.
The company implements a policy that is such a dramatic change from decades of what we have known, yet does not feel the need to sit down with each Flight Attendant and walk through the policy and its changes.
We are seeing many Flight Attendants being given MT (missed trip), which is two points. Many MT’s could be challenged or mitigated, but it cannot be done if you are not opening the email, reading the letter and contacting your FSM or the APFA to address the issue. We understand that no one wants to deal with management these days. However, we cannot care about your work record more than you do. You are going to have to pay attention to what is happening with your points and reach out to your FSM and your local APFA reps before it is too late.
You can view your current point status on Jetnet > Flight Service > My View- Attendance/ Performance.
The APFA has filed a Presidential Grievance over the attendance policy. I will be in Dallas/ Ft. Worth next week for the arbitration prep. The arbitration is scheduled for February 26 & 27 in Dallas/ Ft. Worth.
WBT DUE
The ‘Exploring Unconscious Bias’ WBT is loaded into the Learning HUB and is due by 1/31/19. If you do not complete it, this will be an infraction in the new attendance policy under ‘performance’. Please remember to complete your WBT in a timely fashion.
