3.27.19 – Philadelphia Base Brief
Wednesday, March 27, 2019
Dear Philadelphia Flight Attendants,
It is with many mixed emotions that I will be leaving my position as the Philadelphia Base Vice President effective April 1st when I receive my transfer to Los Angeles, CA. It has been 22 years since USAir closed the Los Angeles base, and 22 years of commuting across the country- time flies! The time has come for me to go home and spend time with my family and friends.
It has been a tremendous honor to serve the Philadelphia membership as a Base Council Rep, Interim President and Vice President through many administrations. I have taken great pleasure in representing the Philadelphia membership, and I will cherish the friendships that I have formed over the years. I leave Philadelphia knowing that you are well represented.
To fill my vacancy Kim has appointed Tracey Montanari as your Vice President until an election can be held. Tracey is knowledgeable, hard working, and will be an effective Vice President for Philadelphia. I hope you will welcome Tracey to the Philadelphia team. I leave you in very capable hands with Kim, Tracey, and everyone who makes the Philadelphia APFA team what it is today.
I wish you all the best!
In Unity and Solidarity,
Rick Cangey
APFA PHL Base Vice President
