Amsterdam Required Negative COVID-19 Test

For quite a few weeks, we have known that the Netherlands government requires a negative COVID-19 test before boarding for all crew members and passengers to enter the country. We have been pressing the company for a process and how they were going to provide and compensate for this testing. APFA was able to secure a Letter of Agreement securing pay for destinations that require a pre-departure COVID-19 test, including AMS.

A Flight Attendant who voluntarily completes a required COVID-19 test at the Company testing location in the applicable Company testing location and receives the results prior to report time will be paid an incentive of sixty (60) minutes (pay-no-credit) of flight pay.

A Flight Attendant who reports for testing and receives results at or after report time will not be paid the incentive. However, if you arrive at the testing location at least 45 minutes prior to the sequence report time, you will be paid the incentive pay. A standby Flight Attendant will not receive incentive pay in addition to standby duty pay and the Flight Attendant’s normal pay.

Please remember that you are not required to report earlier than the required JCBA report times. If you choose to be tested at report time, you will not receive the incentive pay. If you choose to report to the testing center with less than 45 minutes to sequence report, and you do not receive the results before sequence report time, you will not receive the incentive pay. Arriving at the testing center 45+ minutes prior to report guarantees your incentive pay, even if results are received after sequence report time.

American has provided a Company testing location in the PHL A-West crew room from 3:30pm-7:30pm for crew member testing. Premise will be conducting the testing for American Airlines.

777 and 787 Equipment Training

We still have Flight Attendants who have not completed their required equipment training.  Balloting is open for 787 and 777 training. You can ballot for equipment training on Jetnet > Flight Service > Training > JUNE 2021 RBEST Training Ballot.

The balloting for this training closes Thursday, May 6th, at 1200 CDT.

PHL Employee Parking

Beginning June 1st, all employees will be parking in the E and F terminal garages. All customer parking will be in terminal garages A, B, C, and D. KCM is available in terminals A-East, C, D, E and F. As of June 1, 2021, parking tickets will be a different color for terminals E and F. Please reach out to your FSM if you have additional parking questions.

A-East security and KCM are now open. TSA has informed us that the KCM hours for A-East are 0400-2030.

COVID-19 Vaccines

If you need a COVID-19 vaccine, you can make an appointment with Premise by calling 610-362-4070. They are currently offering the Moderna vaccine.
