Cancellation of All EVLOA’s
As reported by the Company yesterday, all Extended Voluntary Leaves of Absence (EVLOAs) will be cancelled. Flight Attendants on these leaves will have the option to return in November or December. Balloting for your return date is now open, and returns will be processed in seniority order. If you are currently on an EVLOA and do not wish to return, there will be an option to resign/retire. If you do not ballot for a return date, you will be processed in reverse seniority order starting with the November return date.
What does this look like for PHL?
We currently have 343 Flight Attendants on an EVLOA. I have broken down the seniority in ten-year increments:
We do not know yet how many will opt to resign/retire. Please see this APFA Hotline for more information, including information on attending required training before you return.
While this will be tough on some people, it is a positive development because it means we are starting to see recovery from the pandemic. The more people you have in your base, the more flying they will have to add to meet the headcount.
