MEETINGS WITH YOUR FLIGHT SERVICE MANAGER OR THE ATTENDANCE MANAGER
We are seeing a significant uptick in the number of meeting requests with FSMs, including your attendance flight service manager (AFSM). If you are called or sent a letter or email requesting a meeting, please remember you have a contractual right to representation. Please contact us for representation at 215-360-3115.
We are also seeing more Flight Attendants declining representation for disciplinary meetings because they do not want to take the time to come in for a meeting. If you have a conversation with your manager over the phone, please ask questions and make sure you fully understand what the conversation is about and where it is leading and could land.
If you are being placed on a Level Two for attendance, this means you have reached seven or more points. Nine points moves you to a final warning. Eleven points for attendance is termination level.
If you are being placed on an advisory for performance, it could be something we might have been able to help mitigate and reduce to a coaching. Once issued, any advisory stays on your record for 12 months. Should you incur another performance event infraction, you could progress through the performance track.
We have many people calling us after the fact. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to unring that bell if we are not involved from the start.
If a manager notifies you of a meeting, please call us to schedule representation at 215-360-3115. We have representation available during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Our office is not on property, so we do need some notice. Should you require an after-hours or weekend meeting, we will make that work if necessary.
This is your work record- we can’t care about it more than you do.
In Solidarity,
Kim Kaswinkel
