Do you have questions about how to file an IOD or FMLA? Do the DECs entries confuse or intimidate you? Are you still unsure of how to bid on a reserve month? Do you have questions regarding renewing your passport, or how to process your summons for Jury Duty? Are you concerned about the new door closure procedure or have questions regarding how it will affect us as Flight Attendants? Would you like to know about our EAP benefits?

Then please join Flight Service and your APFA Base Leadership for an Open House on Monday, February 6, 2023, upstairs in the crew room (above B6). The Open House will start at 10:00 am and end at 2:00 pm. We will also have APFA BCRs to answer questions regarding EAP, IOD & FMLA, Bidding and DECs. PHX Flight Service will be there to help with DECs, FOS and navigating the Flight Service website on Jetnet, as well as discuss and answer questions regarding the ConnectMe App, the new door closure procedure being implemented in April and what the ‘3 D’s’ mean (D-10, D-5, D-0).

Hotdogs, chips and popcorn will be served during the open house, and we will be welcoming the displaced SFO FAs that have transferred to PHX. Let’s make sure we make them feel at home, and part of the Cactus family! Oh, and as an added incentive, the Advantage Crew Cash Team will be there with their Wheel! Spin and Win! Hope to see many of you in the crew room!

As a reminder, we have several Flight Attendants new to PHX that have transferred into our base starting January 31, 2023. They are required to be on reserve this month, and the majority will be commuting out of the SFO Bay area.

There couldn’t be a worse month to be commuting for our long time PHX commuters as well as our new transfers to our base. With the Super Bowl, Waste Management PHX Open, Barrett Jackson Car Show, Parada del Sol and the Arabian Horse Show, hotel prices are astronomical. If you have any suggestions or know of reasonable clean hotel rooms, please let us know. All of our commuters will be very grateful.
