May 2023 Staffing and Allocations

Happy April Chicago!

The May Staffing and Allocations was held yesterday, here are some highlights:

• We begin 3 more IPD trips, towards the end of the month.
• Athens resumes May 30th. 1514 departure from ORD/0925 arrival. 25.30 ODL. 1240 departure from ATH/1605 arrival.
• Barcelona resumes June 1st. 1815 departure from ORD/0930 Arrival. 24.30 ODL. 1145 departure from BCD/1450 arrival.
• Dublin resumes May 31st. 2219 departure from ORD/1140 arrival. 20.05 ODL. 0930 departure from DUB/1131 arrival.
• ANC returns on 737 with daily departures starting May 5th. 1835 departure from ORD/2216 arrival. 2345 ODL. 2316 departure from ANC/0832 arrival.
• There is one domestic 787 trip – SEQ1911/1JUN DH to MIA and work back.
• ODAN Daily Departures are consistent with April.

The SEA-LHR trip remains in Dallas for the month of May. Considering their hours grow month after month, we will continue to push for the return of this trip to Chicago.

Chicago can expect to see 35 new hires after PBS runs for May. We hope to see many more!

Important Dates for May:

• Memorial Day Monday May 29th
• Mother’s day May 14th
• The PGA tournament in Rochester NY has driven more departures from ORD to NY around the tournament, which will be May 15-21st.

Staffing:

• ORD RSV percentage – 19.2% or 442 RSVs.
• Expected line average for ORD at PBS open is 80.5
• Systemwide RSV percentage for May– 20.3%
• Expected line average systemwide at PBS open is 81.3

Trip Construction:

• 1-day: 24% in May vs 26% in April
• 2-day: 29% in May vs 30% in April
• 3-day: 43% in May vs 40% in April
• 4plus-day: 4% in May vs 4% in April
• ODAN Starts per day: 18.6 in May vs 19.00 in April
