LGA Flight Attendants,

Balloting credentials for the 2023 LGA Base Vice President Election were mailed to the LGA membership on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, to the address you have on file with APFA. The candidates on the ballot to fill the remainder of this term are:

  • Neosho Piovo
  • Nathanael Reynoso-Jiménez

Voting closes at 10:00am (CT) on Friday, August 18, 2023.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU MAY VOTE ONLY ONCE IN THIS ELECTION.

The 2023 LGA Base Vice President Election is being conducted by secret ballot using electronic (internet) voting, through the YesElections secure voting system. To vote, follow the instructions included in your mailed balloting credentials. You may vote only once. Where can I find information about the candidates?
Candidate information is now available on the “Union Elections” page on the APFA website. A QR code/link will also be included on your balloting credentials/voting instructions. Paper candidate booklets will no longer be provided in the mail with your ballot,

What are the eligibility requirements to vote? How do I determine if I’m a member in good standing?To be eligible to vote, you must be an active member in good standing. A member is considered in good standing so long as they have met their dues obligation, with no dues in arrears for more than sixty (60) days. For your vote to count, you must be an active member in good standing by 1700 CT on August 14, 2023. (APFA Constitution Article II, Section 4.A-C – Article VI, Section 4.B & 4.D, APFA Policy Manual Section)

You may check if you are a member in good standing or pay your dues by clicking ‘Login’ on the APFA website. After logging in, the top right corner of the site will show any applicable dues balances and you can simply click on that amount to go right to the payment screen.

Eligibility reports are run every morning 7 days a week, as well as throughout business hours (M-F, 9am-5pm CT). If you’re not able to vote online because you are not in good standing and become current/in good standing you will be able to vote shortly after making your payment. Can I request a paper ballot?
Absolutely! Simply contact the YesElections Help Desk at (866) 384-9978 or [email protected]. You can click HERE as well to request a paper ballot.

Paper ballots must be received at the designated P.O. Box no later than August 18, 2023, at 10:00am (CT). The last day to request a paper ballot or duplicate paper ballot is August 11, 2023, 12:00pm (CT). The NBC does not advise members to wait until this date, as you may not have enough time to receive your ballot and mail it back. We ask that you read the information carefully before mailing back your ballot.

If I voted online, and I want to change my vote, can I request a paper ballot?
No, once you have voted online, that will be considered your received ballot and any paper ballot received from you will be voided as you have already cast your vote and cannot change it.

I have not received my balloting credentials yet. How do I request a duplicate balloting credentials?

The balloting credentials for this election were mailed via USPS First-Class postage mail to the address you have on file with APFA.

If you do not receive your balloting credentials (or need a replacement), you may request duplicate balloting credentials by contacting our election partner, YesElections Help Desk at: (866) 384-9978. You will be required to verify your identity with the representative. You may also request that your online voting credentials be re-mailed to you.

I recently moved, I am not sure if my credentials were mailed to the right address, how do I check?
If you’re not sure what address your balloting credentials were mailed to, you can go the APFA.org website and click “Login.” After logging in, in the top right corner simply click, “My Account” and check your information. You can also contact the YesElections Help Desk and confirm the address the mailing was sent to.

Where do I mail my requested paper ballot?
Instructions on where to mail your requested completed paper ballot is included in the ballot instructions/return envelope.

  • Do not mail your completed paper ballot to APFA HQ’s
  • Do not bring your paper ballot to the ballot count.
  • Only ballots that are received in the designated Post Office Box listed on the return envelope with the ballot will be counted.

Where will the ballot count take place?
The ballots will be collected from the designated Post Office Box on August 18, 2023, at 1000 (CT). The ballot count will commence directly after at APFA Headquarters. Once the National Ballot Committee certifies the election results, a hotline will be sent to the membership.
