WAre Ready (WAR) – That’s our motto for our up coming Strike Authorization Vote (SAV). If you have not done so log into APFA.org and cast your YES Vote for our SAV. Results will be announced on August 30th. All members including new hires and probationary Flight Attendants are encouraged to have their voices heard!

Need help with a password reset? Questions about voting?

After-hours password resets:

Email [email protected] with your employee ID and full name with a request to reset.

I’m on probation. Am I allowed to vote?

All APFA Members in good standing, including probationary Flight Attendants, may participate in the strike authorization vote. Your vote is completely confidential. Neither APFA nor the election vendor will be able to access how anyone voted. Management will not have access either.

You cannot be terminated for casting a vote, whether or not you are on probation.

September 2023 Staffing and Allocations

On Thursday, August 3, 2023, APFA Base Representatives had the monthly staffing and allocations call with the Company. On this call for PHX were Robin Agee and Secorra Flowers. CLT has the highest percentage of reserves with 24.7%, DFW at 21.5%, and LAX slightly behind at 20.7%. We continue to push for more FAs in PHX, especially new hires. Rotating Reserve will only work in PHX and LAX once our vacancy lists are cleared and new hires are allowed into our bases. Rotating Reserve was built to work optimally with a flow of new hires into each base. The stagnancy in PHX and LAX will continue to add to the need for a higher Reserve count at the beginning and end of each month, covering the transition from Reserve to Lineholder. This skews the Reserve numbers needed in the base.

As for allocations, our flight hours will see a decrease. In August, we have 71,213 flight hours. In September, we will have 68,410 hours. This is a decrease of 2,803 flight hours. The percentage of 1-days will increase by 1% to 28%, 2-days will decrease by 2% to 33% of our flying, with a 1% increase in 3 days to 35%, and our 4-day sequences will remain at 4% with the majority commutable. ODANs will decrease from 18.86 to 13.73. The ODANs will see a return of FAT with a 7.49 rest and continuation of TUS, SMF, RNO, and ONT.

There are no significant changes in our sequences. We can only voice that as long as the Company continues to use one solution when building sequences system-wide with the Optimizer, all bases will continue getting like sequences without variations that will appeal to each particular base. Planning continues to try and reduce the sit time. However, some may be necessary due to aircraft swaps and airport logistics.
