April 2024 PHX Staffing and Allocations

Today, APFA Base Representatives had the monthly staffing and allocations call with the Company. Robin Agee and Secorra Flowers represented the PHX base on this call. Phoenix again has the highest percentage of reserves for April, and Robin Agee requested the number to be reviewed and reduced. With the time change and the April Schedule Change (occurring on the 4th), there were fewer flights to create legal ODANs than in the months prior. There will be an increase in MZT capacity for the solar eclipse between April 4th and April 14th. The PHX scheduling team will be monitoring the East Coast red eye flights to capture the amount of Reserve usage needed to staff these flights during the month. If it is significant, we will approach the Company for further review if these sequences are better staffed by the East Coast Crews.
