8.29.24 – APFA BOS Base Brief – August 29, 2024

Happy Labor Day Weekend!
Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers and is traditionally observed on the first Monday in September. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894. Our Labor Union, APFA, has worked hard over the past year to improve our quality of life. Thank you to each and every Member for your contributions and support to APFA and one another. We are all the Union. We are APFA.

3Q24 WBT Quarterly Training: Due September 12th at 2359CT
The third quarter Inflight web-based training (WBT) program has been relaunched in the learning hub. The required completion date is September 12th, 2024, at 2359CT.
If the deadline for completing the WBT is not met, a missed WBT may be issued, which is considered an occurrence under the performance program. As a result, you may be required to attend a meeting with management.
Wonderland Parking Updates
BOS APFA has been working hard to move our BOS Based FAs from the Wonderland Garage to the Chelsea and Preflight lots. We are hoping that more openings will become available in the near future. In the interim, if you experience issues at Wonderland parking garage, contact a base representative and fill out details in the Google form. The form may be accessed here.

Questions about the TA?
Contract Action Team – BOS CAT
BOS CAT Members will be in Boston Terminal B every day through September 12th (TA vote closes). They are there to answer questions you have on the tentative agreement and inform you on the voting process, also to chat. Don’t be shy! You can find them around gate B14 usually in a red shirt or APFA gear.
Thank you to Anna Myers (R), Caleb Yang (L), and Marty Temple (Center) for sharing your knowledge and showing up each day to support our Flight Attendants!
Meetings with Management
If you see a PW on your schedule, that means you have a meeting with AA Management. You are entitled to have Union Representation present for any meeting or conversation with Management. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to BOS APFA or request that the Crew Manager pause your conversation until a Union Representative has been contacted.
