12.13.24 – APFA PHL Base Brief – Dues Restructure

Dues Restructure
Friday, December 13, 2024
Hello PHL,

As stated above, APFA is proposing a Dues Restructure in how we pay our dues. We would like to mention a few key points that led to this proposal:
- APFA has not had an increase in dues since 2001
- APFA Flight Attendant wages have increased by 81%
- The cost of living has risen, since 2001, approximately 65.25%
The Board of Directors has made numerous Policy Manual changes to further the quest to use your dues dollars responsibly, and with full transparency. It’s a good start, and that process is not complete.
Your Base Leadership is very proud to serve the PHL Flight Attendants. Phone calls, texts, and emails are returned almost immediately, 7 days a week. The reality is that comes at a cost.
We will never suggest how you should vote for anything. All we can ask is that you read everything and decide for yourself. Responsible use of your dues dollars with full transparency have been the drivers for the changes made thus far. It will continue to be the focus moving forward to improve upon APFA’s policies, representation, resources, and services provided.
Your PHL Leadership is available to answer any questions you may have. In addition, APFA Base Reps will be in the terminals with additional information for you.
PHL STRONG! PHL PROUD!
