7.04.25 – APFA DFW Base Brief – Honoring Independence Day

Honoring Independence Day
Friday, July 4, 2025
Dear DFW Flight Attendants,
As we celebrate Independence Day, I hope we all take a moment to reflect on what this day truly represents. It’s not just about fireworks and cookouts; it’s about courage, sacrifice, and the bold idea that people can stand up for their freedom and support one another, no matter the cost.
That same spirit lives on today in many ways, particularly in the work of our Flight Attendants. They sacrifice time with their families so that others can be with theirs. They work overnight, through storms, on holidays, and even on Independence Day because the skies never close. They ensure that people are moving, connected, and safe.
Being a Flight Attendant means advocating for safety—not just for passengers, but for one another—often in ways that the traveling public may never see. It involves giving up time at home and missing birthdays and barbecues so that everyone can experience freedom of movement.
So today, as we gather with family and friends, let’s remember that we don’t celebrate independence just once a year. It’s something that people fight for and protect every single day. Our Flight Attendants are an important part of that story.
To every Flight Attendant working today and every day, thank you for your dedication, strength, and service.
In Unity,
