7.11.25 – APFA PHX Base Brief – Remembering PHX Flight Attendant Kathleen “Leeny” Bradbury

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of PHX Flight Attendant Kathleen “Leeny” Bradbury on Wednesday night.

Leeny began her career with America West Airlines in March 2004. She was an avid hiker who enjoyed early morning walks during her overnight stays, exploring the cities she visited. Leeny was a friend to many and a pleasure to fly with. She was diagnosed with brain cancer in April and fought valiantly against the aggressive illness, but it proved to be a formidable opponent.

Leeny is survived by her daughter Amanda, who was her everything, her boyfriend Dan Peterson, and her best friend, Captain Tim Weinman.

Funeral services will be private; however, we will hold a celebration of life at a later date. We will share details about the celebration once they become available. Amanda is requesting any photos you may have of her mom taken during layovers, etc., to be included in a video for the celebration of life. Please email any contributions to [email protected].
