Over this past weekend, particularly last night, the LGA Base Council received numerous distress messages from Flight Attendants who were left without hotel accommodations, stranded without information from the Hotel and Limo desks, and forced to endure excessive hold times with Crew Scheduling and Tracking. Sadly, these scenarios are no longer isolated incidents, but a recurring pattern whenever the operation experiences disruptions.
While your APFA LGA Base Council shares in your frustration, we must be clear: these breakdowns lie solely with management. They are the ones responsible for staffing and running the hotel booking, scheduling, and support systems that continue to fail you.
Despite promises made under the recent āperformance reorganizationā ā which claimed to be about getting closer to crews to better support them ā these operational failures have only become more frequent. Once again, the Inflight teamās poor planning and systemic mismanagement has placed the burden squarely on you.
Hereās what we need from you:
We cannot effectively advocate or escalate without proper documentation fromĀ you. To ensure your issue is addressed and to build a strong case for accountability, please follow the steps below:
- File a CERS Report
This is essential for formal documentation of any operational, safety, or contract violation. - Email Your Crew Performance Manager
Detail the full situation and how it impacted your rest, duty time, or ability to safely perform your duties. - Always CC APFA
IncludeĀ [email protected]Ā on all related correspondence so we have full visibility to assist if management fails to act. - Submit any Commuter Exemptions or Direct Connect Requests
Use Comply365 to file where applicable. - Follow Up with Us if Unresolved
If management does not provide a timely or reasonable resolution, reach back out to us so we can escalate.
