11.09.25 – APFA PHL Base Brief – December 2025 Staffing and Allocations

December 2025 PHL Staffing and Allocations
Sunday, November 9, 2025

Hello PHL,
We had our monthly allocations call on Monday, November 3rd. This month is the height of holiday flying. There are some significant changes that will happen twice this month. The first few days are heavy due to Thanksgiving then a lull then a bump up for the main holidays. We were told that primarily there is a huge increase in 3-days and a minor decrease in ODANs.
ALLOCATIONS
Flying hours are up this month with seasonal domestic flying. Last month we were allocated 158,306 flying hours and this month we are slightly increased to 161,394 hours. That is an increase of 3088 hours.
NEW HIRES
There will be no New Hire Flight Attendants this month.
RESERVES
The number of projected Reserve Flight Attendants jumps up to 435 at 16.1%, up from November at 13.3%. The system average is 19.4%. Due to the holiday schedule, it is expected.
STAFFING
In December, the projected line average is 77.2 hours. That stays pretty consistent and is on point with the system-wide average of 77.1. Please note that these figures are subject to change based on bidding behaviors.

VOLUNTARY LEAVES OF ABSENCE (VLOAs)
There will be no VLOA’s for the month of December.

DOMESTIC WIDEBODY FLYINGJust a few random LAX and DFW trips. Mostly split crews with us having positions 5-8.

PIT has 4,800 hours down from 4,855 in November. Another loss of 55 hours. They mentioned a dip in Satellite bases system-wide and they are “working on it”.
*Please remember that when you are awarded a satellite trip, it is your responsibility to get to PIT to start the trip and get home when the trip ends. The Company does NOT provide deadheads to and from PIT.
