Important Dates:

February Contractual Month runs from January 31st – March 1st (30 days).

There is a schedule change on February 12th. DFW will continue to run 8 banks Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays; and 7 banks Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. After the February 12th schedule change, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays will increase to 8 banks.

Winter schedules are upon us and DFW has begun the first step in increasing hours as we move towards spring break and the summer season. Reserve numbers/percentages are down and we are very pleased to see this decrease while increasing block hours across the system. We hope to see this trend of better utilization continue as the year progresses. DFW FA reliability plays a key role in keeping this number down when viewed by management in month over month and year over year trending analysis. Keep up the good work!

In December everyone received an email that our hub would transition to a 13-bank flying solution to help improve dependability and efficiency here in DFW. This change is slated for April 2026. Your local APFA leadership has initiated discussions with local management and will be meeting later this month with AA HDQ personnel to gather further information on this major change. Your allocations team and elected officials will discuss the hub revamp and how the increased flying, pairing construction, and other changes will be affected by this new structure. We have been advised that block times will be increasing on most pairings and sit times should be decreasing with the spreading out of our flight schedule across the additional banks. Fewer disruptions during IROPS and improved recovery have been promised, which will be a welcome improvement to past practice. Watch for a more in-depth communication on this sometime in early February. While the DFW Hub is at the center of this change, the entire system will be affected and all Flight Attendants should be aware and stay informed, as these changes could affect bidding behaviors/outcomes.
