1.28.26 – In Memoriam: PSA/ American Eagle Flight 5342

We mourn the lives lost in the tragic collision involving PSA / American Eagle Flight 5342 and a military helicopter while landing at Washington National Airport on January 29, 2025. Sixty passengers, four crew members, and all three aboard the helicopter lost their lives.
We remember Flight Attendants Danasia Elder and Ian Epstein, Captain Jonathan Campos and First Officer Sam Lilley. We stand with the families, friends, and coworkers who continue to grieve this unimaginable loss. They will not be forgotten.

A memorial honoring the crew and passengers of American Eagle Flight 5342 will be held tomorrow, January 29, 2026, at Washington National Airport (DCA). The memorial will be held at Terminal 2, on the North Terrace, outside door 6, at 5:00pm.
