Contract Implementation Update #52:
Allow Double-Up by Range
Allow Double-Up by Range
The next PBS bidding property is ready for implementation! Available in PBS now for March bidding, Allow Double-Up by Range (CBA 10.D.13.d.38) tells PBS to allow a double-up on a range of dates. This property is in addition to the already existing property allowing a double-up on a specific date. By adding this new property, Flight Attendants will no longer need to repeatedly select the single-date, double-up option when applying double-ups across multiple days, making the process more efficient and user-friendly.
This property acts similar to a waiver and allows double-ups to be awarded. It does not force double-ups to be awarded.
As a reminder, a Double-Up consists of two sequences within the same duty day with a minimum of 30 minutes between the release time of the first sequence and the report time of the second sequence (CBA 2.N) For information on double-ups, refer to APFA.org.
Property Details
Allow Double-Up by Range can be used multiple times in a layer and is a persistent property meaning that once bid it applies to all subsequent layers.
Ex. If you bid Allow Double-Up by Range Between February 1st and February 14th in Layer 4, this property will also apply to layers 5, 6, and 7.
PBS may award one or multiple double-ups in the range bid. The property does not guarantee an award; it allows the system to award a double-up in this range.
