Contract Implementation Update #53:
Prefer Positions Order Per Aircraft
The most requested PBS property is now ready for testing!
Prefer Positions Order Per Aircraft is a new PBS property negotiated in the 2024 CBA that allows you to specify a position order preference on different types of aircraft. This property may be used in the same layer so you may specify a different preferred position order on a 787-9 than a 777-200!
When a sequence contains multiple aircraft types, the first working leg of the sequence determines the position order that will be used to award the sequence.
This property is available under the Pairing tab:

After selecting the property, you may enter your Positions Order and the Aircraft type you are bidding this position order for:

You may use this property multiple times in the same layer to specify a different position order on different aircraft or subfleet:

Mock Bidding Details
To provide additional testing for this property and a chance to familiarize yourself, a mock bid opened on March 15th for Lineholder Flight Attendants to bid and receive a mock award.
While any Flight Attendant may enter a bid in the mock run, only Flight Attendants with a Lineholder status on their PBS dashboard will receive a mock award.
If you bid Lineholder in the live PBS run, this bid will NOT be imported into the mock system. You will be able to import your standing bid or start from scratch.
We encourage you to take this opportunity to play with the system and try out this new property or other strategies for Lineholder PBS bidding. This is one of the rare opportunities to put in a bid and not worry about flying the resulting line.
The mock PBS system is accessible at:Â http://fapbs-apfa.aa.com/aospbs2
PBS Lineholder Mock Bidding Timelines

A special Mock Bid Support Tab option will be available to allow you to submit questions, or potential misawards from the mock run. If you need to submit a support ticket, please go to Crew Portal > Links > Support > Support Tab > Select PBS as the system > Form type LH Mock. These will be reviewed by the company’s PBS team and shared with APFA so we can identify any potential defects before this property goes live. Upon successful testing, we will share further information on when this property will be included in the live PBS runs.
