3.24.26 – APFA DCA Base Brief – Tuesday, March 24, 2026

“Cabin Pressure”
Tuesday, March 24, 2026
In early February, we were first made aware of an encounter a DCA Crew had with Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) Officers during their flight that caused safety and security concerns among them and passengers.
Since then, many crews across the system have reported:
- Â Arriving unannounced.
- Â Lack of communication to both gate agents and crews.
- Â Forgoing briefings with Captain and FAs.
- Â Non-procedural demands.
- Â Failure to produce proper identification.
We immediately forwarded our crew’s concerns to APFA National and APFA Safety and Security who had talks with the company urging that all protocols are in place to protect our crews and flying public.
From FBI, CIA, Secret Service, to DHS, DCA Crews have proudly served many politicians and government agencies for decades whether we align politically or not. We are safety professionals first and foremost.
Should you encounter an issue on or off the aircraft please continue to use Corporate Event Report System (CERS.)
And keep in mind not every CERS received by the company is shared with APFA, so if time sensitive reach out to your APFA DCA Representatives.
Thank you for your diligence and safe travels!
