Contract Implementation Update #61:
PBS Prefer Positions Order Per Aircraft Temporarily Removed

The PBS Prefer Positions Order Per Aircraft bid property introduced during the May PBS bidding process has been temporarily removed.

The new property will not appear during June PBS bidding and will be removed from standing bids as the review process continues, including further testing and additional mock bidding.

APFA is aware of the concerns that Flight Attendants raised regarding PBS awards associated with this new property following the May PBS award process. While the property worked for most Flight Attendants as intended, there were more misawards related to Speaker positions. We reviewed Flight Attendant award challenges and ensured the company followed the contractual process to remedy those with confirmed misawards.

We will remain engaged throughout the review process and will continue to provide updates, including mock bidding information, as soon as it is available.

As a reminder, this is a DOS + 24 months (October 2026) implementation item that was implemented early. We remain on track to meet the deadline for full implementation.
