6.05.26 – APFA DFW Base Brief – Advocacy, Support, and Community

Advocacy, Support, and Community
Friday, June 5, 2026
Dear DFW Flight Attendants,
June has already been a busy month, and your APFA DFW Representatives continue to advocate for Flight Attendants every day. This week, we met with management to address concerns regarding Mandatory Meetings (MMLs), filed a base Notice of Dispute (NOD), and participated in a Dispute Resolution Conference (DRC) on behalf of our Members. We also represented more than 30 Flight Attendants in investigations, filed individual disputes, assisted with contractual and scheduling issues, and responded to numerous Member questions and concerns.

On Thursday, we traveled to San Antonio to honor our friend and fellow Flight Attendant, Kathy Robertson. Kathy touched the lives of many throughout our community and will be deeply missed. Our thoughts remain with her husband, Walt, their children, and their entire family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the The Wings Foundation and the National Blood Clot Alliance.
DFW continues to grow, with more than 300 new Members joining our base this year. We have enjoyed meeting many of our newest Flight Attendants during indoctrinations and look forward to supporting them as they begin their careers. Their enthusiasm, energy, and fresh perspectives strengthen our base and contribute to the future of our union.

Whether enforcing our Contract, representing Flight Attendants, or addressing workplace concerns, our mission remains clear: protecting your rights, holding the Company accountable, and ensuring every Member has a voice. We appreciate those who continue to reach out and encourage any Flight Attendant in need of assistance to contact their APFA Representatives. Thank you for the trust you place in us and for the opportunity to serve and advocate on behalf of more than 7,300 DFW Flight Attendants. Together, we will continue to support our Members, defend our Contract, and strengthen the solidarity that makes our community so strong.
